5/9/2007 - Invocation to the Horned One Sometimes we need to call upon the Gods, or otther spirtual and etheral beings, and forces to help us in a spell, ritual, or perhaps just to ask thier help for a problem, this is an invocation to call upon The Horned One *Note on the Horned One Cernunnos, also known as the Horned One, isa God from the Druid tradition he is the God of fertility, the beasts, life, and the underworld or as the Celtis frequently knew it, the Otherworld. It is also said that he was born in the winter solistice, and marries the Goddess during Beltane, then dies in the sumer solistice, and he is portrayed in connection with the sun, for it is said that he alternates with the Goddess of the Moon in rulting over life and death and contintue the cycle of death and rebrith By the flame that burneth bright, O Horned One! We call thy name into the night, O Ancient One! Thee we invoke, by the Moon led sea, By the standing stone and the twisted tree. Thee we invoke, where gather thy own. By the nameless shore, forgotten and lone. Come where the round of the danc is trod, Horn and Hoof of the Goat Foot God! By moonlit meadow, on dusky hill, Where the haunted wood is hushed and still, Come to the charm of the chanted prayer, As the moon bewitches the midnight air. Evoke thy powers that potent bide, In shining stream and the secret tide, In feiry flame by starlight pale, In shadowy host that rides the gale. And by the ferndrakes, faerie haunted, Of forests wild and woods enchanted. Come, O Come! To the heartbeat's drum! Come to us who gather below, When the broad white Moon is climbing slow. Through the stars to the heaven's height, We hear thy hoofs on the wind of night! As black tree branches shake and sigh, By joy and terror, we know thee nigh. We speak the spell thy power unlocks, At Solstice Sabbath and Equinox!

| 5/3/2007 - True Love Revealed The idea of using magick to try and find love, see the face of your future lover, find or attracke your soul mate and so forth are as old as time. This is a method I have used, and something more or less of my own creatuon, though it is quite simple and brunt it is nothing I read of in a book just followed my intution and I can say that it worked and it worked swiftly and well. If you feel you are ready to settle down and have been having trouble finding the right someone this is something you may do to help the process. I would recomend doing this if possible on a Full Moon, at the very least on a Waxing moon (when it is growing) avoid doing on a New Moon or a Wanning Moon. Do this just before going to sleep once you are laying in bed, it is really great if you are able to see the moon out of your bedroom window but not required, but at the very least you should be looking to the nightsky out your window. Address the Goddess of Love of your choice, I prefer Ishtar becasue I feel closest to her and always felt a relationship with her, but you may use the name and persona of your desired choice, Venus, Aphrodite, Inanna, and so forth. While looking to the moon if you can, or if not looking into the night, address the Goddess in a manner of your choice, if there is a blessing you like to use, or if you just wish to offer her praise and call her name and tell her what you admire about her, then once you have invoked her how you wish, ask her to show you or send you some sign of the one whom is to be your soul mate and companion for life. Tell her you are ready and seeking and call upon her to guide you and help you. Then give her your thanks. When I did this the very same night I had a dream with a vision of the one whom I knew I was to spend my life with, and shortly there after, in a manner of days we met. The imporant thing to remeber about this though, is this does not mean that your true love is going to just fall in your lap, you still have to put yourself out there in some way to get thier attention once they have been revealed to you.

| 5/2/2007 - Past Life Recall Many of us our aware that we have had past lives, and may even have memories of those lives, but sometimes things which happend in the past can still affect us today, and we may seek the answeres to present and future in the past, here is a way to get in touch with your past lives
To begin obtain a full length mirror. Once you have your mirror set a bowl of water out under the Full Moon (which sould be in the sign of Pisces, Cancer, or Scropio for best results) If possible use a green or blue filter though which the moonlight can be focuses (a colored glass jar will work) Leave this under the moon for at least three hours but be sure to remove it before the sun rise
Using the water wash the surface of the mirror completely. Next dry the mirror leaving no streaks. This must be done within three days following the Full Moon. If you are unable to complete this, then you must wait untill the next New Moon.
When you are ready to begin using the mirror, set it upright on the floor in a quiet setting. Place a candle in front of the mirror. Sit before the candle and mirror so that the candlelight falling upon your face slightly changes your appearnce. Study this face until you begin to feel this "person" (your reflection) is not you. Then allow yourself to sense this person, seeking an impression. Try to visualize the surroundings of this person's time. Repeat this exercise untill you have "seen" at least one our two people. Feel free to use your intuition as your explore this technique. WIth patience, you will also be able to link with some of your past-life personalities.

| 5/1/2007 - Beltane Well today is Beltane, commonly known as May Day, and one of the Important Celtic festivals. It is a fertility festival, which celebrates the comming of spring and the brith of things, and emerging from the darkness and hibernation of Winter, into the light, and life again. It was traditionaly on Beltane that weddings would be held in the Celtic tradidtion. Traidionaly in celebration of Beltane a sacred bonfire would be contructed. Beltane Fires Traditionally, sacred woods kindled by spark from flint or by friction -- in Irish Gaelic, the Beltane Fire has been called teine eigin (fire from rubbing sticks). * Jump over the Beltane Fire, move through it, or dance clockwise around it. * Livestock was driven through it or between two fires for purification and fertility blessings. * In ancient times Druid priests kindled it at sacred places; later times, Christian priests kindled it in fields near the church after peforming a Christian church service. * Rowan twigs were carried around the fire three times, then hung over hearths to bless homes. * In the past, Beltane community fire purification customs included symbolic sacrifice of effigy knobs on the Beltane Cake (of barley) to the fire, or, in medieval times, mock sacrifice of Beltane Carline (Hag) who received blackened piece of Beltane Cake; Maypoles in Spain were each topped with a male effigy which was later burned. Contemporary Pagans burn sacred wood and dried herbs as offerings in their Beltane fires. Another part of the Beltane festival is the May Pole May Pole dancing is a form of folk dance from western Europe, especially England, Sweden and Germany, with two distinctive traditions. In the most widespread, dancers perform circle dances around a tall pole which is decorated with garlands, painted stripes, flowers, flags and other emblems. In the second, dancers dance in a circle each holding a coloured ribbon attached to a much smaller pole; the ribbons are intertwined and plaited either on to the pole itself or into a web around the pole. The dancers may then retrace their steps exactly in order to unravel the ribbons. The first kind of maypole dancing is probably extremely ancient and is thought by some to have Germanic pagan fertility symbolism, although there is a lack of evidence to support this conjecture. It is traditionally performed in the spring around the festival of May Day, but in Sweden it is during the midsummer festivities. The second kind of maypole dancing originates in the 18th century, derived from traditional and 'art' dance forms popular in Italy and France. These were exported to the London stage and reached a large audience, becoming part of the popular performance repertoire. Adopted at a large teacher training institution, the ribbon maypole dance then spread across most of central and southern England and is now regarded as the most 'traditional' of May Day's traditional characteristics. According to the book, The Two Babylons, the origin of the maypole dance began in ancient Bablyon during sex worship and fertility rites. A carved upright representation of the human penis was danced around by young females and woven with ribbons to insure offspring.

| 4/28/2007 - Awakening the Third Eye Find a place where you will not be distrubed or distracted, you may play music, burn scented candles, or incsense or just sit in the quiet, whatever helps you best relax without distracting your mind. Sit in a position that is most comftrable to you and close your eyes and clear your mind. There is a breathing exercise that is commonly used in meditation that helps one to clear the mind. You should breath in through the nose slowly for about 4 secounds, hold for about 2 secounds then breath out slowly of your mouth slowly for about 4 secounds, hold, then breath in again, and so forth, this makes you concentrate upon your breathing and keeps your thoughts from wondering untill you are able to fee relaxed and reach peace of mind Once your mind is clear you may breath normally again, visulize nothing but blackness, and then slowly, almost as if you were opening your eyes, or an eye, picture within the blackness a small window opening up in which you can see out of the black, to start you might want to focus on something spefict to view out of that window, perpas a certian place, an image you are found of. But it should only be through that small portal, on either side of you should still remain black and "out of your sight" so you are only foucsing just head of you, as if you were seeing just through one eye. As you do get more advanced and more use to it, after you open your third eye you should let your subconcious completely take over, instead of trying to focus on a specific image, let the image come to you.

| 4/27/2007 - Invoking the Goddess Here is an old ritual which comes from my current fascination, Stregheria (Italian Witchcraft) Invocation of the Goddess Place a bowl, (traditionally a shell was used, about the size of a common bowl, that could be used to carry water) upon a stone alter, or a fallen tree.Pour seawater into the bowl and place a small white shell in the center of the bowl. In this manner the worhip of the Moon could be carried out, even when the Moon was not visable in the night sky, (or indoors if nescessary) The shell (bowl)symboolized the womb of the Great Goddess, and the shell within symbolied the "Child of Promise." The Child was the promise of prophecy, and the mediator betwen humans and the gods. With the shell in place you can be assured of the divinatory powers of the Moon bowl. A series of small white shells should also be placed around the bowl, forming a cresent shape just below the bowl. As the shells are placed left to right the name of the Goddess being invoked is changed. At the conclusion of the rite, the shells should be removed from right to left.

| 4/26/2007 - Healing Rock There is a long history of using varrious gems, crystals, and what are known as preacious stones often as aides in healing, medatiaton, protection, and as the brigning of good luck and good fortune, and so forth. But you do not always need gems or preacious stones, just plain, simple rocks can be utilitized. This is a method I came up with myself, it is a sort of healing which works best in the case of muscle ahces and pains, pulled muscles, sprains, knots, kinks, cramps, and things of that nature. You may use any sort of rock that can be found just laying around upon the ground, though I would say that a flat rock with rounded edges, in a oval or circle shape would work best, for one thing the smoother it is, and the less sharp edges the more comftrable it will be for use in this technique. First thing, charge the rock with healing energy, as I have mentioned before I visulize healing energy as purple, but some prefer to see it as white, or yellow, so whatever works best for you. Hold the rock between your hands and visulize the energy flowing from your hands into the rock untill it spreads through out the entire rock. You need not do this for a long time, A couple mintues or so. Once that is done press the rock against the area which is causing you pain and discomrfort, if you can find a way to keep it in place there without nessciarly having to hold it in place, for this will leave your free to go about your bussiness while the healing is in progress. Now after you done this, it really makes the healing more effective if you understand your chakra (energy points within the body), after the rock is placed around the area that is in need of healing open up the chakra closeness to that area and feel the energy spread through your body and around the injured area, this will help to further disperse the negative energy of the pain while the positive healing energy from the rock is flowing into you. The pain should soon start to melt away into nothing

| 4/25/2007 - Rune Caste In addition to thier more popular use today as a device for divining, runes are associated with more then just thier ability to give forsight into the future, indeed they were used in varrious other magickal rites and have are often portrayed as having a power all thier are. The symbols which are inscribed upon the Norse runes for instance are not only to be used to interpet the future, but also hold other magickal properties, and are used in ritual. They can be a tool to help one focus and channel thier power, and they are often used in working with the elements.
Using concepts and ideas from all three of the different types of runes I have previously discussed I have put together my own little sachel of special casting runes as I call them, that is runes used primarly for ritual purposes, they are modled more after the African styled runes, that is they consisit of sort of a mishmash of trinkets that I have collected, including objects of nature, such as stones, peices of bark and dried herbs, and so forth.
When I want do a ritual using the runes, I will trace upon the floor, (it can be done outside or inside, but it should be dark when doing, either at night, or in a darkned room) a pentagram in chalk. It does not have to be very big.
On the outside of the circle at each of the points of the star I will place a candle which when the rest of the ritual is prepared I will light. I have one rune (the same one everytime) that I place in the very center of the star, and then I will place a rune in each of the archs of the circle between the star points, and one rune inside each of the star points, the runes you use are up to you, whichever you feel works best for the intention of your ritual and whichever you feel best represents your goal.
Once I have all the runes in place I sit upon my knees before the pentagram, after lighting the candles and focus my energy on my intent and goal drawing energy from the runes and channeling my own energy through them to develop greater power and strength while clearly visuling my intent, I might even say a few words, and call upon the Gods, and the spirits of the four winds.
Once the ritual is complete I thank the Gods and the spirits and then blow out all the candles, put the runes away and wash out the pentragem then do a clensing in the area. This is a diagram of the set up for the ritual

| 4/24/2007 - Dreambox I first saw one of these in this little store I was in and could not help but to be drawn for my genreal enjoyment of collecting varrious boxes and the legend behind them did strike my intrest and I do use mine. The legend of the dream box (often attributed to Lemuria which is another sort of Atalantian type civilization) suggests writing down your foundest dream, greatest desire, strongest wish on a small peice of paper and putting the paper in a Dreambox and placing it beside your bed. Every evening as you retire and ever morning as you rise, hold your Dreambox and think on your dream, beleiving with all your heart that it is so. Legend has it, if done faithefully your dream will come true.
